Brady and I met last year. Well officially last year. I vaguely remember meeting him when I was 12 but he doesn't. My mom and his dad and also uncle were mutual friends through volleyball.
His Sister and a mutual friend have been trying to line us up for quite some time, but for some reason it never worked out?
Last summer Brady came to play volleyball with some friends, just pick up ball. I thought he was cute so I let my friend know. Of course he was going to tell him and do whatever he could to get Brady to ask me out. His way of doing so was to see if I would play in a tournament with him.
Brady's sister couldn't play with him in one of the up coming co-ed tourneys. He asked if I could play with him! We text back and forth for a few days. Just simple conversation. I was getting a little antsy as to why he wasn't asking me out. I was flirting big time may I add! Still he never asked me out. Finally I just asked him "let's hang out sometime other then Volleyball"? Scared to death what the response would be. I have never put myself out there well that much before. But he went for it and asked me out.
It was August 7, 2010 he came and picked me up from my home. We went to dinner and a drive-in movie (don't get any idea's he didn't even try to kiss me for like three weeks). During the movie I decided to talk the whole time, shock I know! Seriously I don't think that I stopped for more than 5 minutes. Brady just sat and listened and laughed at my stupid jokes. Of course if you know Brady he is not too much of a talker, so I am sure he was thinking "WHOA, does she ever shut up"?!! When the movie was over I was sure that he couldn't wait to get me home! Given the fact that I ruined the movie by my stupid story's. We got to my house, and he gave me a hug. I was sure he wasn't going to ask me out again after that. Little did I know we have hung out almost everyday since! I guess me being an "Open Book" paid off.
We got engaged sometime in March, and we were married June 18, 2011!
We had an amazing Wedding and a wonderful Honeymoon! He is the love of my life and I am so grateful for him!
